This is a great light for a price sensitive consumer. Anybody can use it and it takes easy to find batteries. Heck, even the nut would appreciate it. I don’t have the A2 but I do have the L2, L4, & the U2. Those lights have the sex appeal and the hard anodizing but I just like the Proton-Pro because of its feel. It is small, lightweight, handy, and fairly bright.

Throw beams are impressive but area beams, like the PP, are useful.

I just found a small store on the way to work that sell Photon lights but he has never heard of the Pro. I’m going to have to enlighten him.

I just picked one of these up from Battery Junction for $39.95. It's a pretty useful little light. Well made and bright enough for most uses. I popped the clip off and keep it on the desk next to my computer. The only con for me is that it is made in china. I thought all Photon lights were made in the USA.
